when summer makes you dream a little

we spent a great day and 1/2 with our 4 nephews and 1 niece. I almost packed them all up and took them with me. They are so great, I love them.
We hadn't seen each other for almost 2 years. I can't believe how everyone has grown so much. It has been so much fun to be called "aunt Naomi" so many times in a day and to play around with all of them. Playing ping pong, tennis, pool time, eating ice cream and sleeping all in the same room. What do you want more really? It's amazing what a day like this brings to you. I feel like it was long a month for all it has brought me.

After a day missing them all we are able to get back together again. San Diego is the spot this time. I can't wait. It is our short getaway for 2 days, with more nephews and niece time, and camping in our new volvo :) That should be fun hahahaha who knows, might be the only time we actually want to do something like that, might as well keep ourselves young right?

{little-project} will start this year

The past year I've been collecting little projects I want to make for our kids, and with our kids. Due to the fact I'm not even pregnant with our first this might sound a little crazy, but I don't care. This year as soon as I can I'm gonna start something and I can't wait.

This are a couple I've just added to the oh very long list. I just love the colored tee-pee and the fact my husband when I told him about it, said we should make one in our living-room even now just for ourselves :) Love my honey sooooo much!
Strawberries are my favorite, so I think this one is more for me hahaha :)

yea I'm a romantic

one of my weaknesses if you didn't know yet, are white adorable dresses. And with a retro large eyelet embroidery in a darling ruffle bust, ooooh joy! It is heaven.

Oh memories, yes I can't stop it lately but to think of the past. This beautiful embroidery takes me back to childhood, again. When dressing simple was oh so adorable and so perfectly feminine.

small delicate memories

I'm not sure what it is. But I think it has to do with being back home at my parent's house, seeing my dad dying that brings all tuns of memories in my mind.

When I was little I used to play in the nature so much. I was never tired of being in fresh air, green grass, colorful flowers and singing birds. One of my favorite things to do was waiting outside in the garden for my dad to come home. I would check the road, looking down the very end of it to see if I could start seeing his head peaking up from the hill. Then I would start running down to jump in his arms for a big kiss.

My sis and I used to share a room growing up. We didn't have much but my dad always made sure to create something new for us every time we needed something. Like new tables, chairs, pillows. After all being an upholster & decorator pays back in wonderful ways. Our room was full of colors, different materials and cozy vintage toys that made our world a dreamy one.

Her Portfolio is amazing.. So many to choose from. It is impossible to just pick one, but oh it makes you go back in time and dream in this softness and delicate world :) I love it!
Somehow I have a weakness for those pastries, shoes, flowers and of course dresses :) But again.. the more I look the more I have more favorites.

I'll for sure need to get me some of this until we actually have the place for something bigger. Well untill my husband and I will finally settle down somewhere.. anywhere... please? moving twice in 3 months, not fun knowing there is more to come.

I got a little job..

my kinda job - White fabric I'm coming back!! And today I feel like I'm finally going back to my world even if in very, very small portion:)  I'm SO happy! :)

Must be the fact I've got nothing with me I can work with, no means to buy my tools, and haven't worked on wedding gowns for a time that seems forever.. I feel so inspired! Sometimes all you need is a simple pencil and start drawing on some rough paper and see what happens :)  I feel kinda like Katie Sokoler in her day of live blogging creation.

today after a long time I got back on the thought to start working on my collection again.. it's been a while. Actually I feel like it's been forever and looking back well, almost 2 years IS forever.
I really can't wait to get back to my work. I'm "craving" it!
