happy 719th birthday Switzerland
I'm so proud of my native beautiful country like no others
What makes you think Swiss?
One of my favorite things that do recall Switzerland to me, are the houses so well taken care in every details (wait isn't that the case for everything else??). Colors and flowers are everywhere, almost in a daily festive way. Nature again is in foreground, and you, the visitor, the farmer, the traveler, the business man, the normal individual walking by is once again amazed by its beauty of color, shape and simple but accurate creativity and taste. It is this clear, when the Swiss do something they do it well. Yes!

baby shower is here
Honestly, I have no clue what to get for baby boys. I know my bad. I've asked around for hints, but I think my problem is that I always want to find something special and unique. And usually I like to make things myself, you know handmade. I think you can always come out with something original when you put your hands in action with your ideas. Only, again, this time I'm a little restricted to do so, but I've still looked around for some ideas.
Oh there's so many talented ladies out there, and so many cute things to put eyes on. I know, I went from baby finders to older kids beautiful things, but who can stop now? I think I spent hours and the hours have become days. Now I just can't stop but to keep looking for adorable baby and kids things.

The Sketchbook Project
my husband was just telling me how I should get back to drawing.. OOOH yes I need to. And he was saying I should go get the stuff I need since I'm in Switzerland (where Im from) and I know where to get them. Only the shop I usually used to go is in Como, Italy. I don't think I'll be going to Como in the next week. I'm going home in only a week yahoooooo!!!
Anyways, I was looking around and ooh I fell on to this awesome project. This is just perfect, isn't?
It's a little different then what I'm used to but now you tell me if this isn't just perfect for a creative soul looking to express herself.
I love the idea, I love the work. I'm on it, I want to do it. It will be SO much fun :) I actually think my husband and I should make one together. His answer was "let's do it!". Yesssss even better!!!
Now all we need is to choose a theme and color.. hmmmmm. Knowing myself I might need to make more then one of this.

Evol-lovE
I'm missing my hubby so much. I really can't sleep at night anymore.. not that I could before, but now it's getting ridiculous. So here I am not really up for anything but at the same time my brain is going all over the places.
It just came to my mind when I sent my husband this link in february of 2008. I absolutely love this short movie. Gorgeous idea, love story. Absolutely magical just like our story :) I miss you honey!

yea I'm a romantic
one of my weaknesses if you didn't know yet, are white adorable dresses. And with a retro large eyelet embroidery in a darling ruffle bust, ooooh joy! It is heaven.
Oh memories, yes I can't stop it lately but to think of the past. This beautiful embroidery takes me back to childhood, again. When dressing simple was oh so adorable and so perfectly feminine.

grocery cart
{or shopping trolley or carrello portaspesa, carrello della spesa}.
Haven't you ever wished one?? I did, well I still do.
So, this is for Sara and I, cause after talking tonight about it I did go online right away to start looking for the "world of grocery cart" out there.
I've always thought they are so useful, but remembering my grandma's grocery cart in old style fabric and old design I thought so many times to design something a little more fashionable as long as functional. And please with some more colorful fabric!
Little did I know there are companies out there who have done it already, and here is a little snick pick of what I've found.

First from Italy by Foppapedretti. Simple and bright the GO TWO collection. I love the big wills cause it looks like it won't have problems standing and working right. Also the bag is made with washable and resistant fabric with a simple design.
By Foppapedretti the GO UP collection. Very easy to pull around with a big capacity and an internal thermal pocket.
From the UK here comes Rolser. Their products are made in Spain, with great design and trendy materials.

There's a verity of models, with different options: more wheels, folding trolley, and the regular models.
when a shopping trolley folds down to a size of a bag.. Amazing!
I haven't really found a company here in the US, but I'll keep looking. Beside you can find the Rolser cart also here in the US. { the container store}.

This is the model we saw tonight on 21st. street down town Portland. It surely looks much better on this picture, maybe cause the guy that was pushing it (and not pulling it), didn't have such cute things in it :)
From Argentina Violraviol. She has an incredible go green design of products and accessories for the house. Even this carts are made in metal and fabric. Some of them are made in plastic rests from tablecloths. A better description of her work is here, and sells online here.
For now my favorite is the Italian design, the Two Up. and the Violraviol one.
Let me know if you find anything else Sara :) I think this would be a must for who lives around this neighborhood. I really think down town Portland should have a shop where they sell this kind of grocery carts. Seriously, if not here.. where?? :)Monday, March 29, 2010
I got a little job..
my kinda job - White fabric I'm coming back!! And today I feel like I'm finally going back to my world even if in very, very small portion:) I'm SO happy! :)
Must be the fact I've got nothing with me I can work with, no means to buy my tools, and haven't worked on wedding gowns for a time that seems forever.. I feel so inspired! Sometimes all you need is a simple pencil and start drawing on some rough paper and see what happens :) I feel kinda like Katie Sokoler in her day of live blogging creation.
